Together with the people of the whole country, the people of Quang Ngai are racing against time to bring essential goods as quickly as possible, as much as possible, to people in flooded areas in Dak Lak and Gia Lai provinces.
In Phuoc Thien 1 village, Van Tuong commune, people turned to the flooded areas with sympathy and sharing. From the night of November 22, the village cultural house became extraordinarily bustling and cozy. Each person hands-only prepares each batch of braised fish to package and send to people in flooded areas.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Head of the Front Work Committee of Phuoc Thien 1 village - said that when he learned that the people of Dak Lak and Gia Lai were in dire need of support, no one in the village said that anyone had brought their own money or property to contribute. Some people have money to contribute, others donate with cardboard boxes, bags of dried fish... to support.

On November 23, the first trip carrying 200 portions of braised fish and 200 gifts including water, medicine, essential oils, instant noodles, candy, boiled eggs... rolled up to the road to provide relief to the people of Gia Lai. After that, dozens of people in the village continued to caught 200 pieces of fish, preparing gifts to prepare for the relief truck departing for Dak Lak on the afternoon of November 23.
It is known that this is not the first time that people in Phuoc Thien 1 village have conducted charity trips. Previously, people in the village have also deployed many support packages during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City.
Similarly, in the mountainous commune of Tra Bong, people are also busy preparing gifts, wrapping each banh chung and banh tet to send to people struggling to cope with floods. Regardless of age or role, everyone is busy, each person has a job: some wash leaves, some marinate beans, some slice... trying to wrap and cook more than 1,200 banh chung and banh tet to send to people in flood-hit areas in time.
Ms. Ho Thi Trung (78 years old), in Tra Bong commune, confided: "Seeing the people in the flooded areas struggling, many elderly people having to climb to the roofs to cry for help, cold and hungry, I feel very sorry. Seeing the situation of the elderly and children facing difficulties, I sympathize with them, so even though I am old and not in good health, I still participate with everyone"
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha Tien, residing in Tra Bong commune, said that all the ingredients for wrapping cakes from sticky rice, green beans, banana leaves, bamboo, rice paper... are prepared by the people. whose house has something, they contribute it. After wrapping, all the cakes will be cooked with wood overnight so that the group can depart in time to the locations severely affected by floods in Dak Lak province.
