For many years, prestigious people in Iaiap commune have always played an important role in propagating and mobilizing people to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws, especially the contents related to hunger eradication and poverty reduction and household economic development.
Ms. Lang Thi Truong, a prestigious person in Iaiap commune, said that thanks to correct policies and guidelines, especially the implementation of National Target Programs, the lives of people in the village have had many positive changes.

Households are supported with livelihoods, gradually boldly investing in production, developing livestock and the family economy.
According to Ms. Lang Thi Truong, the most important thing is that people have gradually changed their awareness, proactively rising out of poverty instead of waiting and relying on others.
"The women are now more eager to do business, know how to calculate, and know how to care for their children's future," Ms. Lang Thi Truong shared.
From the experience at the grassroots level, Ms. Lang Thi Truong also expressed her hope that the government will continue to pay more attention to the fields of health and education and culture and arts in ethnic minority areas.
According to her, when people have access to culture and art, their children will better understand the spiritual life of the Thai ethnic group.
From there, the spiritual and cultural life of everyone will develop more sustainably, creating a foundation for the future generation of the village.

At the same time, prestigious people also encouraged people to set an example in complying with the law, together ensuring security and order, maintaining a civilized lifestyle, supporting each other to move forward.
Promoting the role of prestigious people in the new period
According to Mr. Bui Tien Hoat, Vice Chairman of Ia Lap Commune People's Committee, the locality always identifies the key role of village elders, village chiefs and prestigious people in mass mobilization work.
At village, hamlet and commune meetings, they assigned responsible officials to directly attend to listen to people's opinions and promptly answer problems arising right from the grassroots.
Ethnic affairs officials also regularly coordinate with prestigious people to propagate and mobilize people to well implement policies and guidelines; actively participate in the movement to build cultural life and maintain security and order in the locality.

Thanks to this close coordination, the political security situation and social order and safety in Ia Lap commune have been basically stable in recent times, and the spiritual life of the people has been gradually improved.
At the same time, Ia Lap commune has implemented many programs to support investment in preserving typical villages and traditional villages; upgrading cultural institutions, sports playgrounds and equipment for community activities.
These activities not only meet the living needs of the people but also contribute to preserving and promoting the unique cultural values of ethnic minorities living in the area.
In recent years, socio-economic infrastructure in Ia Lap has also received investment attention. Many inter-village and inter-hamlet roads have been concreted; schools and health stations have been repaired and upgraded, creating more favorable conditions for people to study and take care of their health.
Towards the 2025-2030 period, Ia Lap commune aims to reduce the poverty rate according to the multidimensional poverty standard to below 29%; reduce the average annual poverty rate by 5% or more, in which poor households of ethnic minorities strive to reduce by an average of 3% per year.
For the National Target Program, localities continue to implement phase II (20252030) according to the Government's directives; exploit existing potential and advantages, mobilize maximum resources to develop the economy and society quickly and sustainably, while preserving the cultural identity of the people's community.

The consistent goal is to reduce multidimensional poverty, limit re-poorness, and gradually comprehensively improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic minority people.
