Prestigious people change the lifestyle of village traders
Ea Wer commune is still a difficult area, people's lives mainly depend on agriculture, so their income is low. On the other hand, the commune also has a large number of ethnic minorities living there, many outdated customs and practices still exist, affecting socio-economic development.
Mr. Tran Van Cau (village 16) is a person who understands the customs of his people. Realizing that he could not let people maintain their old lifestyle forever, he spent time visiting each house to encourage young people to limit alcohol and work hard. He also encourages children to study well to move towards a better life.

For students, Mr. Cau persistently encouraged them to perform military service when they reached retirement age. He went to the house of Vu Hoang Son (born in 2006) to promote the benefits of military service - in a serious and disciplined training environment, helping young people mature and useful to society. From that movement and his personal awareness, Son decided to reserve his university to volunteer for military service.
In conversations with young families, Mr. Cau often shares: To escape poverty, first of all, families must love each other, eliminate bad customs, and maintain cultural discipline. When their children are old enough to go to school, they have to let them study until the end of grade 12. After that, they learn a trade, go to university, join the army... and have maturity".
Thanks to the exemplary role of prestigious people like Mr. Tran Van Cau, village 16 in particular and Ea Wer commune in general are changing day by day. Security and order are maintained, people's lives are better. Compared to 5 years ago, many spacious houses have sprung up, more motorbikes have appeared, people are more confident in doing business and pay more attention to their children's education.

We really need the companionship of prestigious people
According to statistics from the People's Committee of Ea Wer commune, the whole commune currently has dozens of prestigious people working in ethnic minority and mountainous villages and hamlets.
In the context of the government system being adjusted according to a streamlined and efficient model, the role of this team becomes even more important.
In recent years, village heads, hamlets and prestigious people have actively contributed to the implementation of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021-2025.

They are the "cradle" to help change the face of rural areas, improve people's lives through mobilizing people to abandon customs, apply science and technology to production, and build a civilized lifestyle.
Mr. Duong Hung Phong - Head of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Ea Wer commune - affirmed: "Preditable people play a particularly important role in local socio-economic development. They are people trusted by the people, their words have weight, so the government can help them spread policies and guidelines to ethnic minorities effectively".

According to Mr. Phong, the local government expects the prestigious people to continue to promote a sense of responsibility, experience and understanding of customs and practices.
They will accompany localities in sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction and development of ethnic minority areas in the coming time.
