Recently, there have been many traffic accidents on tourist routes in Phan Thiet. In particular, many accidents have occurred at the entrances to resorts and tourist areas.
Most recently, on the afternoon of October 19, on Nguyen Thong Street, in front of The Cliff Resort, a 7-seat car from the resort onto Nguyen Thong Street collided with a motorbike, causing the motorbike driver to have to go to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Or on the afternoon of October 14, on Xuan Thuy Street, Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet City, a 29-seat car collided with a 4-seat car that was turning across the street to enter Apec Mandala Wyndham Mui Ne Resort.
After colliding with the 4-seater car, the 29-seater car rushed forward, hit the resort fence, then swerved onto the opposite curb and hit a lamp post before stopping. The driver was injured and stuck in the driver's seat. 7 people were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Also on Xuan Thuy Street, earlier, on the evening of August 17, a fatal accident involving a car entering and leaving the resort occurred. A motorbike driven by T.H.T (born in 1999, residing in Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet) was traveling on the road when it collided with a 4-seater car while going downhill. At the scene, the car was lying across the road. Victim T died after being taken to the emergency room.
After many traffic accidents, many people believe that many locations from resorts to main roads are blocked from view. Some people also ask, "Are resorts and tourist attractions allowed to connect internal roads to public roads or do they need permission?"
According to the Traffic Safety Committee of Binh Thuan province, in recent times, there have been many documents to strengthen the assurance of traffic safety and order, especially on tourist routes during peak holiday seasons, such as: requiring accommodation establishments, tourist attractions to be responsible for arranging guides and regulating vehicles entering and leaving their establishments to ensure order and safety; arranging parking spaces and reminding drivers to stop and park in the right places, avoiding traffic obstruction and traffic jams.
The Traffic Safety Committee of Binh Thuan province has also coordinated with functional units to inspect and survey to strengthen traffic safety on roads in Phan Thiet city. Thereby, realizing that on Xuan Thuy street, in the Apec Mandala project area, there is a complicated situation of vehicles stopping and parking, and trading encroaching on the sidewalk, with the risk of traffic accidents, the Committee has proposed that the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city direct the People's Committee of Mui Ne ward to strengthen inspection and handle the situation of trading encroaching on the sidewalk in this area.
