On the morning of May 16, a Korean-style bakery at No. 23, Phan Dinh Phung Street ( Quan Thanh, Ba Dinh) suddenly caught fire.
According to witnesses at the scene, the fire started on the 5th floor of the building at 8am.
Immediately after discovering the fire, the restaurant's residents and staff used on-site fire fighting equipment to control the fire and reported it to the authorities.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Forces, Ba Dinh Area Group (Hanoi City Police) sent 2 fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene to fight the fire.
As soon as they arrived and approached the scene, the authorities organized fire fighting and rescue.
Talking to Lao Dong, the leader of Quan Thanh ward (Ba Dinh district) said that the initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit in the microwave area in the restaurant.
The fire did not cause any human casualties. Property damage is being counted.
The incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
