On the evening of May 13, Hanoi City Police said that the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police - City Police had just promptly controlled and prevented the fire from spreading in the factory fire that occurred in Tay Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District on the afternoon of May 13.
Accordingly, at about 4:56 p.m. the same day, Call Center 114, City Police Command Center received a fire report at factory area No. 860 Phuc Dien.

As soon as the information was received, assessing that the complicated fire situation could spread to neighboring workshops, the City Police Command Information Center urgently mobilized 70 officers and soldiers of the City Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department with 2 command vehicles, 10 fire trucks, 1 rescue vehicle, 1 truck carrying specialized vehicles, and 1 water tank to the scene.
Leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Hanoi City Police directly attended, coordinated with the government, people, local police forces and commanded fire fighting and rescue work.
At the scene, the authorities determined that the fire was complicated, with many flammable materials, generating a lot of toxic smoke and gas, the fire spreading rapidly and possibly spreading to neighboring warehouses, making it difficult to approach and put out the fire.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force promptly exploited water sources, deployed fire extinguishers to prevent the spread of the fire, and approached the large fire area to extinguish the fire.
After a period of firefighting efforts, by 5:40 p.m., the fire was basically controlled and prevented from spreading; at around 7 p.m., the fire was extinguished.
Thereby, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force promptly prevented the fire from spreading, protecting the safety of many surrounding warehouses.
The fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage is being counted. The cause is being investigated by the authorities.
