On July 4, Mr. Dang Van Ngo, General Director of Soc Trang Water Supply Joint Stock Company (SocTrangWaco) said that My Xuyen 3 Water Plant officially operated the addition of deep-level underground water wells to enhance water supply capacity for people in My Xuyen ward, Phu Loi ward and Soc Trang ward, Can Tho city.
The new deep-level well put into operation has a capacity of 1,440 m3/day and night, bringing the total capacity of the plant to nearly 3,000 m3/day and night. The addition of this water source is to improve pressure and water supply flow. The above deep underground water well is part of SocTrangWaco's water supply system renovation plan, to meet the increasing demand for water and improve service quality.
The additional operation increases pressure, water supply flow can cause local disruption in some areas causing congestion or some water supply pipes may have color. Therefore, when people encounter the above situation, please respond via Zalo "Soc Trang Water Supply" or the customer service department via phone number 0858520858 for timely handling by the company's staff", Mr. Dang Van Ngo shared.
Previously, the company also installed and put into operation an extremely violet (UV) disinfection system imported from Canada. The designed flow of this system is 3,000 m3/day, the disinfection target is over 99.99% at Nguyen Chi Thanh Water Supply Enterprise, thereby basically thoroughly treating the factory's production water source before supplying it to customers.
Recently, many water plants in Soc Trang have encountered difficulties due to a shortage of raw water sources and water quality that has not met requirements. In that situation, the People's Committee of Soc Trang province (now Can Tho city) has strongly directed departments and branches to coordinate with SocTrangWaco to speed up the progress of increasing the capacity of factories and implementing key water supply projects.
