Aspiration from practical fields
The head of the project group, Hoang Tuan Anh (Automotive industry) shared that the idea came from field trips and newspaper information, where the group witnessed farmers facing countless difficulties from harsh nature such as soil, water and climate, seriously affecting the crop.
"We recognize the difficulties of farmers and have been very concerned about how to provide optimal solutions to help them better understand the land in their fields," said Tuan Anh.

In addition, the country's promotion of digital transformation and application of technology in essential fields, especially high-tech agriculture, has further strengthened the group's belief in the direction.
However, according to the research team, the digitization of farming data is still broken, manual and unsynchronized. This causes difficulties in storing, analyzing, tracing the origin of products and especially the inability to prove that the farming process has complied with safety standards such as VietGAP or GlobalGAP...
From those concerns, a group of students including Hoang Tuan Anh, Pham Chi Thinh and Nguyen Tri Hoang (Electronics), Nguyen Hoang Vu (Social Engineering), and Doan Ngoc Kha (Marketing) started researching, spending many months to conceive and launch AgriVision.
AgriVision - A powerful support with many gold indicators
A special feature of AgriVision is the ability to measure many important indicators of the land at the same time. This device integrates modern sensors to provide accurate and timely data, including: soil moisture, helping to control water regulation, avoiding excess or lack of water; electrical conduction, determining the overall nutritional level of the soil; salinity, assessing the impact of salt on crops, especially important in coastal areas; NPK content, determining the necessary amount of nutrients to regulate fertilizers properly; soil temperature, affecting the development of roots and the absorption of nutrients of plants.

One of the most outstanding advantages of AgriVision is its simplicity in use. Users just need to connect the measuring head to the ground, the device will quickly process and display the results directly on the LCD screen. This completely eliminates complexity, making it easy for even farmers who are not too familiar with technology to operate.
Not only stopping at on-site display, data from AgriVision is also synchronized to the server system, visibly displayed via map on the web platform. This facilitates large-scale data monitoring and analysis.
In addition, the system also integrates the feature of making appropriate nutritional recommendations for each type of crop, helping farmers make accurate decisions about fertilization. The device also supports creating periodic records and reports, a key factor for traceability and certification of farming according to international standards such as VietGAP or GlobalGAP.

In addition, AgriVision also brings many benefits, such as: reducing fertilizer costs; increasing crop productivity; providing data evidence.
Tuan Anh added: "The machine will collect and analyze estimates from the real environment, then display them visibly on the web platform. The data not only shows measurement parameters but also makes conclusions on whether the soil is suitable for the desired plant species of farmers and will advise on factors that need to be supplemented to improve the soil to suit the plant variety".
Completement and development prospects
Currently, the product is being further improved by the research team in terms of accuracy and durability, ensuring maximum suitability to actual conditions in small farms and farming households.
AgriVision has been successfully tested in many farming models in Can Tho city and neighboring areas, attracting attention and positive feedback from users.
With initial success, the research team is actively promoting AgriVision brand building activities through community communication and direct marketing campaigns in rural areas. At the same time, it also deploys the provision of equipment with friendly, easy-to-use land management software, helping users proactively monitor and evaluate land quality.
Recently, the project "AgriVision" won second prize at the 7th Potential Startup Project Contest - CTU Startup in 2025 organized by Can Tho University, affirming the potential and great value of this product.
