On January 6, Nha Trang Ward People's Committee (Khanh Hoa province) coordinated with functional forces to deploy a peak period of inspection of fire prevention and fighting and rescue (PCCC and CNCH) conditions for business establishments in the area.
The purpose of the plan is to ensure safety during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
According to Nha Trang Ward People's Committee, there are currently 1,653 facilities in the area under fire prevention and fighting and rescue management that have been updated on the fire prevention and fighting database system.
After implementing the merger of administrative boundaries and operating the two-level local government model, the Ward People's Committee has issued many directing documents and plans to strengthen fire prevention and fighting and rescue, and at the same time organized safety inspections at some business establishments.
However, recently, some fires have still occurred in the ward, causing property damage, showing that the risk of fire and explosion unsafety is still latent, especially during the peak period at the end of the year and the Lunar New Year.
To proactively prevent, Vice Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee Le Tien Vinh assigned the Ward Police to urgently develop an inspection plan, and at the same time establish and consolidate two inter-sectoral inspection teams on PCCC and CNCH.
Departments, boards, and related units are required to strengthen propaganda and guidance for business establishments to strictly implement regulations, standards, and regulations on fire prevention and fighting; promptly detect and overcome shortcomings and violations to limit the risk of fire and explosion.
According to the plan, this week, Nha Trang ward will conduct inspections of fire prevention and fighting and rescue conditions for business establishments under management, focusing on industries with high fire and explosion risks, crowded areas, to ensure safety for people and tourists during Tet.
Ms. Tran Thi Mai, owner of a food service business in Nha Trang ward, said that the facility fully supports the plan to inspect fire prevention and fighting and rescue conditions of the Ward People's Committee during the peak period at the end of the year.
Periodic inspection, especially during Tet, is very necessary because the number of visitors increases, and the risk of fire and explosion is also greater.
Through inspections, business establishments like ours are promptly reminded of shortcomings to proactively overcome them, thereby ensuring safety for customers, workers and business owners themselves," Ms. Mai shared.
