Power grid projects are being implemented in Vinh Long, An Giang, Tay Ninh provinces and Can Tho city, bringing the total number of projects energized from the beginning of the year to 42 projects.
This is the effort and determination of the leadership, officials, and employees of EVNSPC, towards the goal of energizing 51 110kV grid projects before April 30, 2026, achieving practical achievements to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification and also the occasion of the 51st anniversary of EVNSPC's establishment (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).
Accordingly, on the morning of April 25, in Can Tho City, Deputy General Director Bui Quoc Hoan directly directed the energizing of the Co Do 110kV Substation project.
The project has a total investment of more than 237 billion VND with a construction scale including: Transformer station with a capacity of 2x40MVA, the first phase operates a capacity of 1x40MVA; The 110kV connection line section is newly built with 02 circuits, starting point from the transit connection pole on the 110kV line of Thot Not 220kV Transformer Station - Thoi Lai 110kV Transformer Station to the end point of the gate column of Co Do 110kV Transformer Station, with a length of 14.499 km with 58 steel pole positions.

When put into operation, the project will meet the load demand in Co Do commune and surrounding areas in the period 2026–2030, contributing to reducing the 22kV grid supply radius, reducing power loss and improving voltage quality.
In Tay Ninh province, on April 24, EVNSPC successfully energized Tan Tru 110kV substation and the 110kV connection line. The project has a total investment of more than 190 billion VND, with a construction scale including: 110kV substation with a capacity of 2x63MVA and the connection line section including 2 circuits with a length of 7.62km, connecting from Can Duoc 2 220kV substation to Tan Tru 110kV substation.
The project is of great significance in supplementing the 110kV supply source for the area, creating room for load development, improving the quality of electricity service and better serving the living, production, and business needs of people and businesses in the area.
In An Giang province, in less than a week, 2 consecutive 110kV power grid projects were successfully energized, contributing to improving the power supply capacity in the area.
The An Bien 110kV Substation Renovation Project (increasing capacity from 1x40MVA to 2x40MVA) will also be energized and completed on April 22, 2026. With a total investment of nearly 67 billion VND, the project has a scale including installing 1 additional transformer with a capacity of 40MVA, renovating the 110kV T1 - 40MVA transformer opening and completing the 110kV segment opening.
When put into operation, the project will not only solve the full load situation of the 110kV An Bien Substation, but also increase the 22kV grid connection capacity between the 110kV Minh Phong and U Minh Thuong substations, meeting back-and-forth support when there is equipment maintenance and repair work; Improve the operational reliability of N-1, increase power supply capacity to serve socio-economic development needs in the region.

The 110kV Vinh Quang Substation Renovation Project (installing the 2nd transformer) was also successfully energized on April 21. With a total investment of about 31.6 billion VND, the project increased the substation capacity from 1x40MVA to 2x40MVA, solving the full load situation of the 110kV Vinh Quang Substation, reducing the load of the 110kV Rach Gia and Hon Dat substations. At the same time, improving the reliability of N-1 operation, reducing power loss, and enhancing the ability to supply electricity to serve socio-economic development needs for Rach Gia ward, Vinh Thong ward and neighboring areas.
In Vinh Long province, on April 25, EVNSPC promptly energized Phase 1 from existing pole 13 to pole 22, 2.5km long, belonging to the 110kV line project starting from Vinh Long 220kV substation 3 (transit to the 110kV Phuoc Hoa - Binh Minh line).
When completed, the project will increase flexibility in operation management and improve the reliability of power supply for 110kV substations in the area; create 110kV ring circuit links between 220kV Vinh Long 2, 220kV Vinh Long 3, Tra Vinh 2, Sa Dec 2 substations to increase flexibility in operation management. The project also improves the reliability of power supply of the system, increases the ability to supply 110kV power sources, meeting socio-economic development needs for Vinh Long province.
Also in Vinh Long province, the Phu Thuan - Binh Dai 110kV Transmission Line project with a total investment of over 143 billion VND was energized and completed on April 22. The project has a construction scale including: 110kV 02-circuit line 22.7 km long and the expansion of the intersection at Binh Dai 110kV substation and 02 newly built intersections at Phu Thuan 110kV substation.
It is known that from now until April 30, 2026, EVNSPC and its member units and construction units will continue to make maximum efforts, with the determination to complete the energizing of at least 09 more 110kV power grid projects, promptly meeting the increasing demand for load growth during the peak dry season and the whole year of 2026.
