Comprehensively completing targets and tasks
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Le Van Trang - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) - affirmed that this congress was very important, conducting the review of the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, pointing out the advantages, defects and causes and withdrawing experiences; set out directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the term 2025 - 2030.
According to the political report presented at the Congress, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the EVNSPC Party Committee has constantly innovated, created, leaders and directing the Corporation to fulfill the assigned tasks; To achieve and exceed 4/4 of political tasks and 6/6 targets on Party building work that the Resolution of the Congress for the term 2020-2025 set out.
Right from the beginning of the term, the EVNSPC Party Committee has developed an action program to implement the resolutions; an annual work program and issued it to lead and direct production and business tasks and Party building work. In which, there are breakthrough and timely decisions, demonstrating flexibility and innovation in management and direction.
In particular, thoroughly grasping the policy of thrift practice and waste combat. The Party Committee and the EVNSPC member Council have a resolution not to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the construction and development, but to spend all the funding sources (18.9 billion VND) saved to support the construction of 315 houses for the poor in 21 provinces and cities in the South; At the same time, mobilizing social resources of VND 30 billion, building 500 houses for households with difficult housing.
In performing political tasks, in addition to ensuring electricity supply for production and business, national defense security and the lives and activities of people in the management area and comprehensively completing economic and technical indicators, EVNSPC Party Committee has led the Corporation to handle many long-standing tasks; arrange and restructure units, especially in other production sectors, most effectively exploit existing resources, contributing to increasing income for workers in accordance with the motto "payment for whatever you do".
In particular, the investment and construction work at the end of the term is a breakthrough not only in completing all 110kV projects but also forming a new awareness in facing difficulties, in accordance with the spirit of "only discussing work, not retreating" of the Prime Minister and EVN leaders.
Over the past 5 years, EVNSPC has completed and put into operation 01 220kV power grid project, 236 110kV project. The medium and low voltage power grid has also been strongly invested in with 29 projects and 3,116 works developed, renovated and upgraded. By the end of 2024, commercial electricity output in 2024 will reach 93.178 billion kWh; it is expected to reach 101.85 billion kWh in 2025, an increase of 1.33 times compared to the beginning of the term.
Ensuring power supply to the South
Speaking at the congress, Comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the EVN Party Committee - affirmed that in the overall achievements of the EVN Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, there are important contributions from the collective of cadres, party members, and workers of EVNSPC.
The achievements of the EVNSPC Party Committee affirm the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the EVNSPC Party Committee, which have been significantly enhanced, vividly demonstrating the efforts and outstanding efforts of the Party Committee, creating new vitality for all cadres, party members and employees of the entire Corporation, comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan emphasized.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the electricity industry in general and EVNSPC will face great requirements and tasks. Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan asked the Corporation's Party Committee to continue to maintain the motto of "solidarity - discipline - breakthrough - development"; Promoting the role of committees at all levels, ensuring comprehensive but compact and effective leadership. Leaders successfully implement the criteria of production and business, construction investment, customer service and digital conversion in accordance with the Development Strategy of the Electricity and Orientation of the Group. In particular, the Party Committee needs to lead the Corporation to drastically implement solutions to ensure sufficient electricity supply for the Southern region - the area with the highest economic development speed and the highest load needs in the country.
Comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan also requested the EVNSPC Party Committee to proactively and flexibly arrange and adjust district and commune-level administrative units and merge provinces according to the Central Government's policy; closely coordinate with localities, not to affect electricity supply and site clearance; use human resources reasonably, avoid spreading or overlapping when expanding the area; promote digital transformation to manage flexibly and accurately in the new area.
The Congress elected the EVNSPC Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 21 comrades. At the first meeting, the Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee of 7 comrades. Comrade Le Van Trang continues to be trusted to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary; Deputy Secretaries are Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Duc and Comrade Lam Xuan Tuan ( concurrently Chairman of the Inspection Committee).
