Aiming at the goal of sustainable development and reducing net emissions to zero, provinces and businesses in Vietnam, including Vingroup, are actively cooperating to promote the process of green transformation in traffic and the environment.

Recognizing the importance of green transformation in the context of climate change, localities such as Vinh Phuc, Binh Dinh and many large enterprises have signed many cooperation agreements, focusing on greening important areas of the economy and life.

Multi-sector cooperation promotes green transport and energy

In November 2024, the People's Committees of Vinh Phuc and Binh Dinh provinces signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation on green transformation with Vingroup. In Vinh Phuc, the green transformation program for the period 2025-2030 will focus on areas such as tourism, industry, agriculture, urban infrastructure, transportation and green lifestyle. The province is committed to supporting Vingroup in developing a network of charging stations, encouraging people to use electric vehicles and deploying electric buses.

In Binh Dinh, the cooperation focuses on developing a green transportation ecosystem using electric vehicles, while expanding into the fields of trade, services, tourism, healthcare, education and information technology. The Provincial People's Committee will accompany Vingroup in supporting the development of charging station infrastructure and encouraging people to switch to using electric vehicles.

In addition, Vingroup has signed a cooperation agreement with PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) to develop a nationwide electric vehicle charging station system and promote the use of renewable energy through rooftop solar power systems. PV Power will provide green and energy-saving electricity solutions to Vingroup, while the group will facilitate PV Power to install solar power systems at its facilities.

To expand the charging station network, Vingroup’s V-GREEN has partnered with companies such as Vasia and EverSolar. In Bac Ninh, Vasia will invest in and operate 30 V-GREEN franchise charging stations, contributing to making the province a model in green transformation. EverSolar has transformed its business model into V-GREEN franchise charging stations, serving electric vehicle owners, contributing to the country’s green transformation.

Greening the healthcare and tourism sectors

In the healthcare sector, Vingroup and Bach Mai Hospital have signed a strategic cooperation agreement on green transformation. The two sides will cooperate in exchanging expertise, training, scientific and technological research, and developing solutions towards public health and a green living environment. GSM Company under Vingroup will provide electric vehicle transportation services for hospital staff, and install charging stations on campus to enhance the experience for customers and staff.

In the tourism sector, Vingroup and Vietravel Group have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement to promote green transformation in the tourism business. The two parties will study the use of electric cars and electric buses to transport tourists, provide plastic-free tourism service packages, and create a different experience for customers. At the same time, encourage staff to use green vehicles in their daily commute.

Towards a sustainable future

These cooperation agreements demonstrate the determination of localities and enterprises, especially Vingroup, in promoting green transformation in Vietnam. Multi-sectoral cooperation not only contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment, but also improves the quality of life and promotes sustainable socio-economic development.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong - Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee - said: "Signing a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Vingroup is an important step in the process of building a developed and sustainable Vinh Phuc. We believe that this cooperation will bring specific, creative and effective solutions in the areas that the province is in need of."

Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President of Vingroup Corporation - shared: "We believe that the cooperation agreements will help bring people and businesses quality products and services, contributing to the economic development of localities and improving the quality of life".

The active participation of localities and businesses not only demonstrates a sense of social responsibility but also demonstrates the ability of Vietnamese businesses to join forces in facing environmental challenges. This is an important step towards the goal of net zero emissions, contributing to realizing Vietnam's commitment in the international arena.
