On March 4, the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee organized an assessment of the progress of 12 key projects invested from the central budget and non-budgetary capital of investors.
According to the report of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, among the 12 key projects, there are 7 projects using state budget capital and 5 projects using non-state budget capital.
Assessing the overall progress of the projects, the Party Committee of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the projects are basically behind schedule compared to the set plan; some projects are even behind schedule due to compensation and site clearance problems.
Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong - Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, requested the two localities (Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien District) and the project investors to develop a detailed plan to build a progress road for each stage and each work of the projects.
Mr. Cuong said that at present, all levels and sectors in Dien Bien must simultaneously carry out the work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus in conjunction with the task of economic development and ensuring social safety.
For cases of violations and signs of delays affecting the site clearance progress of projects, Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong has directed investors to review and transfer documents to the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee to coordinate in urging and handling in accordance with legal regulations.
