70 years ago, on December 21, 1954, Uncle Ho visited the Bo Ho Lamp Factory and advised the staff: “This factory now belongs to the people, to the Government, to you. You are the owners, so you must preserve the factory and make it develop further”. This event has become a historical milestone of the Vietnam Electricity industry, and December 21 every year has been decided by the Prime Minister as the “Traditional Day of the Vietnam Electricity Industry”, according to Decision No. 1594/QD-TTg in 2009.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Electricity Industry's Traditional Day, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company has implemented many meaningful and practical activities to express gratitude and reach out to the community.
In particular, the Company coordinated with Quang Ninh General Hospital to organize a humanitarian blood donation program. 85 officers and employees participated, thereby receiving 85 precious blood units, contributing to bringing life to patients in need of blood transfusion, demonstrating the spirit of sharing, love and responsibility towards the community.
Realizing that in Mong Duong ward there are still many poor, single-parent and disabled households with degraded electrical systems in their homes, posing potential safety risks, the Company has implemented the program "Lighting up trust". The Company's staff directly supported the repair and replacement of electrical lines and light bulbs for 12 households. This activity not only helps people use electricity safely, economically and effectively but also demonstrates the company's sense of responsibility towards the community.
In addition, the Company also actively coordinates with local authorities to make a list and prepare gifts for policy households and families in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Along with that, the Company organizes sports tournaments such as badminton, table tennis, volleyball, relay races, both to improve health and to enhance communication and connection among members of the EVN family.
