On September 13, the leader of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Finance said that up to now, localities in the province have basically completed the payment of the Government's National Day gift of September 2 to the people (VND 100,000/person). In some central wards, due to both cash and payment through accounts registered on VNeID, the system is overloaded and is still paying.
"Most localities have chosen to pay cash from the beginning, and it has been completed by the morning of September 2. Central wards such as Quy Nhon and Pleiku have encountered problems with their accounts due to network congestion and are currently continuing to pay," said the leader of the Department of Finance.

In Quy Nhon ward, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nguyen Duc Toan said that the locality has spent more than 10.3 billion VND (over 80% of the plan) on gifts for people. In the next 2 days, the ward will focus on spending the remaining part, ensuring completion before the deadline of September 15 as directed by the Central Government.
"People mainly receive cash directly, the number of registrations through accounts is not much. According to statistics, many people register to receive gifts with 2 bank accounts, so the ward has to switch to cash to avoid errors and duplication.
The ward has widely announced it to the people for understanding, and will strive to pay in full. In case the deadline for gift payment has expired but people have not yet come to receive it, the locality will compile and report to the Provincial People's Committee", said Mr. Toan.

In Pleiku ward, Chairman of Dang Toan Thang Ward People's Committee said that the locality has spent over 90% of the plan and is continuing to spend on the people.
Previously, the Department of Finance of Gia Lai province transferred more than 355 billion VND from the central budget allocated to the accounts of 135 communes and wards to pay for 3.55 million people. This is a meaningful gift from the Party and State to the people on the occasion of the National Day.
