On the night of June 7 and early morning of June 8, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, in Ban Giang commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, local flooding occurred on many inter-village roads and residential areas, causing some villages to be isolated, many houses and crops to be deeply submerged in water.
In the face of emergency situations, Ban Giang Commune Police quickly mobilized 100% of officers and soldiers, coordinated with local Party committees, authorities and people to deploy plans to evacuate people and property to safe places.
At the same time, Ban Giang Commune Police have proposed that the Board of Directors of Lai Chau Provincial Police increase forces and support vehicles.
On the morning of June 8, the Provincial Police mobilized 30 officers and soldiers from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department along with specialized vehicles to serve the rescue work.

According to preliminary statistics, up to now, Ban Giang commune has had 74 flooded houses, of which Doan Ket village was most severely affected with 40 houses, Ban Giang village with 20 houses and Coc Pa village with 14 houses.
The authorities have coordinated to urgently evacuate people and property of 10 households and 8 people who are stuck out of the dangerous area.
Currently, the provincial police, provincial military, local authorities and people are continuing to make efforts to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, restore life and production.
