The content of the document stated that in recent days, child drowning incidents have continuously occurred in the province, causing particularly serious consequences, affecting the lives and health of children, causing pain and loss to families and public outrage.
Currently, students have entered summer vacation, the risk of drowning accidents continues to be high if there are no drastic, synchronous, and more effective measures.
To continue to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of child drowning prevention and control, and minimize tragic accidents occurring in the area, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, agencies, branches, agencies, units, and localities to continue to seriously and effectively implement child drowning prevention and control tasks.

Strengthen propaganda and mobilization of parents and caregivers to fully fulfill their responsibilities for managing and supervising children; do not let children arbitrarily swim in rivers, lakes, ponds, seas or play in watery areas when no adults accompany them; proactively equip children with knowledge and skills to prevent and combat drowning.
Strengthen inspection, review, and promptly supplement warning signs, barriers and measures in high-risk areas such as ponds, lakes, rivers, streams, canals, and construction works containing water.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 2, a serious drowning incident occurred on the Ngan Pho River through Son Kim 1 commune, Ha Tinh province, killing 4 people.
According to local authorities, Ms. N took her daughter and 2 grandchildren (brother's children) to her maternal hometown in Vung Tron village, Son Kim 1 commune to play and then take a cool bath on the Ngan Pho River near her house.
During the bathing process, they discovered a boat of a resident anchored on the riverbank, so 4 people climbed up to row to play, unfortunately the boat was punctured, water entered and then capsized, causing all 4 victims to die.
On June 3, at Ke Go lake in Cam Due commune (Ha Tinh province), a drowning incident occurred, killing a 15-year-old female student residing in Ha Huy Tap ward, Ha Tinh province.
