On the afternoon of April 17, Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize and evaluate the results of assigning civil servants and public employees to support commune-level People's Committees in implementing the 2-level local government model.
Accordingly, from October 20, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the list of 52 civil servants and public employees with professional qualifications and working capacity from provincial-level agencies and units assigned to work in 34 communes in the province.
Deployed officials include majors: Information technology, information - communication, digital transformation; construction, transportation; industry and trade; labor, internal affairs; justice; agriculture, land management; culture; finance, budget.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs, after 6 months of implementation, the team of specialized civil servants and public employees has promoted their expertise and nghiệp vụ well, supporting communes in advising, building work programs, resolving administrative procedures, and state management in all fields.
Thanks to that, the progress of work resolution is accelerated, the quality of service to the people is improved, contributing to reducing pressure on the team of commune officials and civil servants.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat also said that through summarizing the recommendations of 34 communes and wards that were assigned civil servants and public employees, 30 communes and wards proposed that the Provincial People's Committee continue to assign civil servants and public employees and 1 commune proposed a new one.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 36 civil servants and public employees with outstanding achievements during their assignment to work at the commune-level People's Committee.
