From last night to this morning (8.21), in some mountainous communes in Bac Ninh province such as Son Dong, Dai Son, Yen Dinh, Tuan Dao, Tay Yen Tu... there was heavy to very heavy rain, causing flooding in many areas.
Quick information from localities, by 6:00 a.m. on August 21, Tay Yen Tu commune had flooded 16/16 culverts of 3 villages, causing local isolation; traffic routes in the area were at high risk of landslides.
Currently, water has flooded into the houses of some households in Thong Nhat village and is continuing to rise.
The Commune Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue has urgently supported people in deploying measures to respond to floods in the spirit of "4 on-site".

In the communes of Son Dong, Yen Dinh, Tuan Dao, Dai Son... floods are also rising rapidly. Local authorities have quickly informed people to proactively take response measures; mobilized forces to support households living in areas along rivers, streams, and areas at risk of landslides to temporarily evacuate people and property to safe places.
By 7:00 a.m., some points on National Highway 31 and Provincial Road 291 were eroded, at risk of further development. Local leaders are urgently coordinating with authorities to mobilize forces to overcome the situation.
Up to now, the communes are focusing on responding to floods; no human casualties have been recorded.
The authorities and meteorological experts warned that heavy rain will continue in the midlands and deltas of the North, in which Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh will have heavy rain and are likely to spread to Hanoi and Hung Yen.
