Regarding this issue, Attorney-at-Law Nguyễn Thụy Hân - Law Library Company JSC stated that, based on Article 5 of Decree No. 138/2020/NĐ-CP, the priority subjects and the point bonus system for the civil servant recruitment examination are as follows:
In the case where the candidate for the civil servant recruitment examination or the examination for admission to a position belongs to multiple priority categories as specified above, only the highest priority point bonus shall be added to the result of the second round.
Conditions for registering to take the civil servant recruitment examination
An individual registering to take the civil servant recruitment examination must meet all the conditions specified in Article 36 of the 2008 Law on Cadres and Civil Servants (amended in 2019), as follows:
- Any individual who meets the following conditions, regardless of their ethnic group, sex, social class, creed, or religion, may register to take the civil servant recruitment examination:
Has one nationality, which is Vietnamese nationality;
Is 18 years of age or older;
Has submitted an application; has a clear personal history;
Has the relevant educational qualifications;
Has good political qualities and ethics;
Is physically fit to perform their duties;
Meets any other requirements for the position being applied for.
- The following individuals are not eligible to register to take the civil servant recruitment examination:
Does not reside in Vietnam;
Has lost or been restricted from exercising civil rights;
Is being prosecuted; is serving or has served a sentence for a criminal offense and has not yet had their criminal record expunged; is being subject to administrative measures for compulsory rehabilitation or compulsory education.
