Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway
The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway has a total length of more than 124 km, passing through Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc provinces, with a total investment of about VND 25,540 billion.
On April 28, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for Component Project 2 of the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section.
The project is implemented in the form of public investment combined with public-private partnership (PPP). The central budget contributed more than 10,500 billion VND, Binh Phuoc province more than 1,200 billion VND, Dak Nong province 1,000 billion VND. The capital arranged by the investor is about 12,770 billion VND.
In early April 2025, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee approved the project to construct a service road and a bridge across the section through Dak Nong province with a total investment of 338 billion VND from the local budget.
The project will build 20 service roads, a total length of 28.4 km with a cement concrete road surface of 3.5 m wide, along with 5 overpasses designed with a width of 7.5 m and 9 m.
The event also marked an important step forward in the development of transport infrastructure in Dak Nong province. The project will promote the economy, improve the quality of life of people, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the province.
The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway project is expected to be basically completed in 2026 and put into operation in 2027.
Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway
On the morning of April 30, in the sacred atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Ninh Binh held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Construction Investment Project.
Up to now, the investor has completed the procedures to select contractors for 18/20 packages with a total estimated package value of VND 4,387 billion and signed contracts with the winning contractors for construction packages and supervision consultants.
The districts of Yen Mo and Yen Khanh where the project passes through have declared and counted all 2,501 affected organizations, individuals and households with a total affected area of about 227 hectares. Of which, there are about 5.8 hectares of residential land and the site clearance fee has been paid for by 618.75 billion VND.
The Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway construction investment project, the section passing through Ninh Binh province, has a route length of 25.3km; starting point at Mai Son intersection connecting with the North - South expressway in the East (in Mai Son commune, Yen Mo district), ending point at the Day River overpass connecting Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh provinces (in Khanh Cuong commune, Yen Khanh district).
The project has a scale of 4 complete lanes, a design speed of 120km/h, a roadbed width of nearly 25m, and a road surface width of 15m.
The entire route will have 12 bridges, including 3 overpasses for people and 3 interconnecting intersections. The total investment is VND6,865 billion, including the central budget and the Ninh Binh provincial budget.
