On April 29, the People's Committee of Can Tho City issued an official dispatch on resolving voters' petitions before the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
In the document, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen requested the City Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently complete the Tay Do Cultural Center project, pay attention to promptly implementing support, compensation and resettlement policies for the people, because this project has been delayed for too long, affecting the lives of local people.
For the Western Ring Road Project, National Highway 91 (Km0 - Km7), Provincial Road 917, 918 with very slow implementation progress, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City suggested paying attention to and finding solutions to overcome the causes, so that these projects can be completed to ensure the planned progress, contributing to creating more momentum to promote the socio-economic development of the city.
As for Nguyen Chi Thanh Street (connecting National Highway 91 to National Highway 91B), about 5km long, which has not been upgraded and expanded synchronously, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City proposed to invest in implementing and installing a synchronous drainage system to ensure safety for people's travel on this route.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City said that the implementation progress of the Western Ring Road, Provincial Road 917, 918, National Highway 91 (Km0 - Km7) is very slow due to lack of capital, therefore, the Department of Finance is interested in prioritizing capital allocation.
The Department of Home Affairs is interested in having specific and accurate orientations on vocational training in accordance with the requirements of businesses in newly opened industrial parks in Vinh Thanh district, so that voters who are laborers in Vinh Thanh district and neighboring localities have the opportunity to learn a trade and have jobs when the Vinh Thanh industrial parks in phase 1 and phase 2 come into operation.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment has continued to invest in the construction of road linkages at some locations that have not been implemented on the Cai San River (section belonging to Thanh My Commune, Vinh Thanh District), to ensure safety for people living along this river.
