The first packages to support flood areas by air have arrived in Hue

Before the historic flood in the Central region, Vietnam Airlines Group implemented a program to transport relief goods for free to people in flooded areas.

With the spirit of social responsibility and the desire to act as a bridge to spread sharing, Vietnam Airlines has announced the receipt and free transportation of support goods from agencies, organizations, organizations and enterprises to Central regions including Hue, Da Nang and Chu Lai.

Immediately after announcing the information on October 30, the first shipment of 490kg of necessities, medicine, clothes, and food sent by Phu Nu Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper was transported to Hue by Vietnam Airlines on flight VN1376 on October 31. This activity once again shows the preparation and readiness to receive the community's heart sent to the Central provinces by the National Airlines in accompanying, supporting and overcoming people in flooded areas.

The free transportation program, fuel allowances and related fees take place from October 30, applied to organizations such as the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, People's Committees of localities, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, socio-political organizations, state agencies, social organizations and licensed charity funds, and enterprises whose support or recommendation purposes are confirmed or recommended by competent authorities. This is to ensure the transportation of goods for the right purpose and to reach the right people in need of support.

In 2024, Vietnam Airlines became a bridge to share the difficulties of people affected by Typhoon Yagi causing heavy rain and flooding in a series of northern provinces.
