30,000 trained workers
According to the Plan for training and improving the quality of agricultural labor in the period 2026 - 2030, Ninh Binh province identifies the goal of improving the quality of agricultural human resources and rural labor, developing a team of farmers with professional knowledge and skills, the ability to apply science and technology and digital transformation.
One of the notable goals is to organize training, fostering, and training for 30,000 workers, thereby gradually forming a force of digital farmers, professional farmers and modern cooperative management teams.
Participants include farmers, members of cooperatives, cooperative groups, farm owners, workers in agricultural enterprises, cooperative management officials and those who need to improve their qualifications and skills in the agricultural sector.
After training, the province sets a target of over 85% of students being able to apply knowledge and skills to actual production and business; over 70% participating in production linkages, value chains or applying digital technology, innovating management methods and production organization.
According to the roadmap, in 2026 it is expected to train, foster, and train 1,000 people; in 2027 it is 6,000 people; in 2028 it is 7,000 people. In 2029 and 2030, it is expected to train 7,500 people each year, bringing the total number in the whole period to 30,000 people.
In addition, Ninh Binh also sets a target to organize agricultural and rural vocational training for 39,500 workers in the period 2026 - 2030. The content focuses on key agricultural production, OCOP products, traditional craft villages, cooperative economy, circular economy, ecological agriculture and organic agriculture.
Learn digital skills, management
To form a digital farmer force, the training program is designed according to modules, including skills close to current production and business activities.
Learners will be equipped with skills to use digital devices, apply technology in agriculture and record electronic journals in production. Other contents include traceability, green and organic agricultural production, circulation, emission reduction and adaptation to climate change.
The program also focuses on mechanization, automation, smart equipment, precision agriculture, post-harvest technology, preservation and logistics.
Notably, farmers are trained in production planning, financial management, production organization according to the value chain, e-commerce, digital payments, market connection and access to financial services. For cooperative cadres, the training content is aimed at modern, transparent management, digital transformation and risk management.
Each training, fostering, and coaching course lasts no less than 5 days and has at least one practical or field survey session. The training is organized at training institutions, businesses, cooperatives, vocational education institutions, combined directly and online, with practice as the focus.
Ninh Binh province also orients towards building a digital learning system including electronic lectures, video tutorials; gradually developing electronic bookshelves, open learning resources and connecting with the national farmer training platform built by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
Through this, learners can regularly update new techniques and technologies, and at the same time, the management of students, class organization, result evaluation and storage of learning records are carried out on a digital platform.
