    Ha Tinh - 2 children were pushed about 300m from shore by waves while swimming, luckily Mr. Vo Van Phan (53 years old) swam out to rescue them in time.

    The People's Committee of Cam Binh Commune has just organized a ceremony to commend and reward Mr. Vo Van Phan (53 years old, residing in Binh Vinh Village, Cam Binh Commune) for his brave act of saving people.

    Previously, on the afternoon of August 5, Mr. Vo Van Phan was swimming at Hoi Tien beach, Dong Tien commune (Ha Tinh province) when he saw two middle school students being pushed away by waves, more than 300 meters from the shore, while waiting for help.

    Immediately, Mr. Phan swam back to almost separate the two children, helped one swim to shore, took one to a nearby fishing boat and put them safely to shore.

    Timely acknowledging the brave act of saving drowning people, the People's Committee of Cam Binh commune commended and awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Vo Van Phan.
