On December 21, a 7th grade female student was hospitalized with many bruises on her hands and feet on social media, suspected of being abused, causing a stir in public opinion.
According to initial information, the female student is living with her father and stepfather's family after her parents divorced many years ago. The family took him to Northwestern Nghe An General Hospital for a health check.
A hospital officer said that when receiving the report, the family explained that the female student fell off an electric bicycle. After examination and treatment of the wounds, her health has now stabilized.
Information from the leader of Tay Hieu ward said that immediately after receiving the feedback and images spread on social networks, the locality sent staff to visit, encourage the family and learn about the initial incident.
Tay Hieu Ward Police also worked with the female student's family to verify the relevant information. Because the incident is in the process of verification, the authorities have not been able to provide further details.
Currently, Tay Hieu ward is coordinating with authorities, schools and Nghe An Northwest General Hospital to clarify the cause of the bruises on the female student's body, while monitoring and taking care of her health.
