On January 3, news from Market Management Team No. 6, Lang Son Market Management Department said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to detect and seize a car transporting goods of unknown origin.
Accordingly, the authorities discovered that the car with license plate 29H-292.13 driven by Mr. H.V Dinh (Co Khuong village, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province) was traveling on National Highway 1A, in Cao Loc district, Lang Son province, showing suspicious signs, so they stopped the car for inspection.
Upon inspection, the authorities discovered 500 kg of pre-processed pork legs contained in many pineapple sacks on the vehicle.
Notably, the above pig's feet have changed color, turned dark black and have a foul smell.
At the time of inspection, the vehicle driver could not present invoices, certificates of origin or any other documents related to all of the above goods. The estimated value of the goods was over 12 million VND.
Currently, Market Management Team No. 6 has temporarily detained all violating goods to proceed with the next steps according to regulations.
Previously, at the end of December, the Traffic Police Department of Lang Son Province Police said that the unit had just discovered and handled a case of transporting food of unknown origin in large quantities.
Accordingly, a truck was carrying two items including duck feet and beef intestines that had been pre-processed and frozen, with a total weight of more than 2.7 tons. However, the driver could not present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods.
During the investigation, the owner was only able to provide an invoice for the duck feet. The remaining goods were beef intestines, contained in 113 pineapple sacks with a total weight of more than 2.2 tons, without invoices, documents, certificates of origin or quarantine as required. Worryingly, these beef intestines were leaking water and gave off a strong foul odor.
