On March 4, the Fire and Rescue Police force of Gia Lai Provincial Police promptly controlled and extinguished a fire that broke out on the top of Ba Hoa mountain (belonging to group 39, neighborhood 38, Quy Nhon ward).
According to initial information, at 11:14 am on the same day, the fire suddenly broke out in the mountain peak area, creating many scattered fire points, causing people to worry about the risk of spreading.

Upon receiving the news, the 114 Command Information Center under the Fire and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police mobilized 14 officers and soldiers along with 2 fire fighting vehicles to the scene.
Due to the high mountain terrain and steep slopes, specialized vehicles could not approach directly, functional forces had to cross forests, climb slopes, carry mini fire extinguishers and use machetes and shovels to clear vegetation, create firebreaks, and cordon off and extinguish each fire point.

At the same time, some urban workers supported pulling water pipes from Bau Sen Lake up the mountain to spray water into the fire area.
Forest rangers used wind blowers to extinguish embers, clear ground, and cut through the firebreaks at key locations to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring areas. By about 12:00 PM on the same day, the fire was basically under control.

Initial records show that the fire burned in small sections, mainly burning down bushes, vines and vegetation. The cause is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
