On March 4, Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 21 of the Central Government announced the Decision on inspection and supervision in 2026 of the Politburo and the Secretariat for the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee. The delegation was headed by Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung.
According to the decision, the inspection and supervision program for 2026 is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 will be implemented and conclude in March 2026, focusing on inspecting and supervising the research, study, dissemination, propaganda, and implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Phase 2 will be implemented and concluded in September 2026, inspecting and supervising the organization and operation of local authorities at 2 levels; tasks and solutions to ensure economic growth according to the Resolution of the 14th Congress; the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo.
At the conference, Mr. Le Hoai Trung said that the inspection and supervision are aimed at ensuring that the resolutions and directives of the Central Government are organized and implemented seriously, synchronously, effectively, and in accordance with the direction.
The inspection and supervision period takes place in the context that Party organizations are focusing on implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress and preparing for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Therefore, this activity is topical and urgent, contributing to ensuring that the activities of the Party and State are implemented in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
Reporting to the Inspection Delegation, the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee said that immediately after the success of the 14th Congress, the Provincial Party Committee organized a conference to study, thoroughly grasp, and deploy from the provincial to commune levels; developed action programs and implementation plans with a proactive, drastic, and practical spirit.
Based on the goals, targets, tasks and solutions set out by the 14th Party Congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has directed to review, update, and concretize them into resolutions and work programs for the entire term and annually; clearly assign responsibilities to each Party committee, agency, and unit; determine specific roadmaps and products associated with inspection and supervision. In 2026, Gia Lai strives to achieve double-digit growth targets.
Election preparation work was deployed methodically, ensuring democracy, objectivity, and compliance with the law. The province established the Provincial Election Committee 20 days earlier and the election committees for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies 4 days earlier than regulations.
Complete the issuance of decisions determining voting areas in all 135 communes and wards with 2,179 voting areas and constituencies. In this election, Gia Lai province has more than 2.58 million voters.
Regarding personnel work and the introduction of candidates, in the province, 28 people were introduced to run for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term to elect 16 deputies; 142 people were introduced to run for provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term to elect 85 deputies.
After 3 rounds of consultation, the 3rd consultation conference unanimously included 21 candidates for National Assembly deputies and 138 candidates for Provincial People's Council deputies in the preliminary list.
Directing at the conference, Mr. Le Hoai Trung requested the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee to assign 1 agency to be the standing focal point, and appoint 1 leader to directly coordinate with the Delegation throughout the inspection and supervision process.
At the same time, review and complete reports to ensure truthfulness, objectivity, and accurate reflection of the actual situation; clearly point out difficulties and obstacles and propose specific solutions, and send them to the Delegation on time.
Mr. Le Hoai Trung requested the members of the Inspection Team to work with a high sense of responsibility, impartiality, and objectivity; strictly adhere to speaking discipline, and ensure the confidentiality of documents and information as prescribed.
Accepting the direction, Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee - said that he will direct Party committees, Party organizations and related individuals to proactively coordinate, provide complete and accurate information and documents; create favorable conditions for the Delegation to complete tasks as required.
