After a 2-0 victory over U22 Malaysia, U22 Vietnam has officially won a ticket to the semi-finals of the 33rd SEA Games with the top spot in the group.
At the post-match press conference, coach Kim Sang-sik expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his players, and affirmed his goal towards the final match and winning the championship right at Rajamangala Stadium - where he witnessed the Vietnamese team winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup.
At the beginning of the press conference, the Korean strategist congratulated the whole team: "I am very happy that the team won and advanced to the semi-finals as the group winner.

Evaluating the 2-0 victory over Malaysia, coach Kim Sang-sik said that the whole team had prepared carefully from analyzing opponents, holding professional meetings to practicing tactics: "These factors help the team control the match well and achieve the set goals".

Speaking about the semi-final match - where U22 Vietnam is likely to face U22 Philippines, Mr. Kim emphasized the comprehensive preparation: "The most important thing right now is to prepare the best physical and tactical skills. Our goal is to reach the final and win the championship at Rajamangala".
Sharing about the Vietnamese women's team also participating in the semi-finals after the 2-0 victory over Myanmar, coach Kim Sang-sik congratulated coach Mai Duc Chung and his team: "We both represent Vietnamese football and will do our best to protect national pride and honor. Hopefully both teams will advance to the final."
