The accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. on September 3, at km32 + 700 (belonging to the route connecting the Hanoi - Hai Phong and Hanoi - Ninh Binh expressways).
At the above time, Mr. D.T.D, born in 1994 (residing in Nho Quan commune, Ninh Binh province) was driving a 7-seat car with license plate: 35A-314.99 carrying Ms. P.T.N, born in 1978 (residing in Phu Long commune, Ninh Binh province) and Ms. T.T.T, born in 1997 (residing in Nho Quan commune, Ninh Binh province) traveling in the direction of Hung Yen - Phu Ly.
While waiting for a red light in Bac Ly commune, Ninh Binh province, a truck with license plate: 29K-059.94 driven by Ha Duc Viet, born in 1997 (residing in Tay Ho ward, Hanoi) suddenly hit the back of the truck.
The strong collision caused the 7-seat car driven by Mr. D to drift forward and crash into the rear of a truck with license plate: 89H 001.08, driven by Pham Ngoc Han, born in 1992 (residing in Hoang Hoa Tham commune, Hung Yen province) (this car was also stopping at a red light).
Next, the car with license plate number 89H-001.08 was pushed forward and collided with a car with license plate number:15H-020.42, driven by Mr. Do Quoc Truong, born in 1983 (residing in Thanh Binh commune, Ninh Binh province), which was also stopping at a red light.
The consequences of the above series of accidents caused Mr. D, the driver of the 7-seat car, to die, and Ms. N and Ms. T, the two passengers, to be injured.
