At around 8:30 p.m. on July 2, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway, the section passing through km11+690 in Hamlet 7A (My Yen Commune, Tay Ninh Province), a series of collisions occurred between 4 vehicles including passenger van, container truck, truck and car.
The strong collision caused the car to be stuck between the rear truck and the front container trailer, leading to severe deformation of the front and rear. The driver was injured and trapped in the cabin and could not escape on his own.
Immediately after receiving the report, the My Yen Commune Police force coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Tay Ninh Province to quickly arrive at the scene to carry out rescue work. The driver was rescued and taken to the emergency room in a state of serious injury, but did not threaten his life.
The Traffic Police force of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 (Traffic Police Department) coordinated with local police to examine the scene, regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the incident.
By the evening of the same day, the scene had been resolved, and traffic on the route returned to normal.
