Dong Nai - The Dong Nai bridge toll station area will be divided into traffic flows for testing to assess the congestion situation before dismantling.

On August 10, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Road Management Zone IV (Vietnam Road Administration) said that regarding the dismantling of the Dong Nai bridge toll station, the unit will coordinate to conduct traffic diversion and regulation tests to assess the traffic congestion situation in this area, before proceeding with official dismantling.

Dong Nai bridge toll station is located at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, the main direction on National Highway 1A for vehicles from Dong Nai city and Central, Northern, and Central Highlands provinces to Ho Chi Minh City.

This toll station is located on National Highway 1A in Tran Bien and Long Hung wards, Dong Nai city, serving the project to invest in the construction of the new Dong Nai bridge and the bridge's two ends in the form of a BOT contract.

Previously, Road Management Zone IV planned to deploy the dismantling of the Dong Nai bridge toll station from August 10 to ensure traffic safety and resolve voters' petitions (completed in about 3 months); at the same time, a notice was sent to Dong Nai Bridge Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (the project investor) requesting coordination in the dismantling construction process, sending people to monitor, supervise and confirm assets at the toll station before and during the dismantling process.

After many years, the Dong Nai bridge toll station temporarily stopped collecting tolls at 1:30 PM on August 24, 2020, and it has been nearly 6 years now. The project was established for all-people ownership by the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) on December 29, 2023.

Previously, at the end of 2025, the Dong Nai City Department of Construction had a document sent to the Vietnam Road Administration, Road Management Zone IV requesting the dismantling of the Dong Nai bridge toll station, contributing to urban embellishment, ensuring safety, preventing the risk of congestion and overcoming potential traffic accidents, synchronizing the cross-section scale throughout the route, as well as resolving voters' grievances and petitions in the area.
