The National Assembly Standing Committee has issued Resolution No. 237/NQ-UBTVQH dated April 14, 2026 on the establishment of 10 wards under Dong Nai province.

Trang Bom Ward (natural area 68.77 km2, population size 95,502) is located near National Highway 1, Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, associated with urban areas of Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa and Long Thanh area; the ward has 2 large industrial parks, Giang Dien and Bau Xeo.

Long Thanh Ward (natural area 130.12 km2, population 95.992 people) is about 40 km east of the center of Ho Chi Minh City, identified as a city closely linked to Long Thanh International Airport, playing the role of a national gateway in international exchange; is an airport logistics support service center, logistics center, warehousing, multi-industry industry, high-tech industry of the Southeast region.

Tri An Ward (area of 660.47 km2, population size of 51,757 people) has great potential for ecotourism with Tri An Lake oriented as a national tourist area; and also has advantages in clean energy production with Tri An Hydropower and solar power projects. This is an area that plays an important role in ensuring national energy security and providing clean water for Bien Hoa urban area and Ho Chi Minh City region.

Tan Phu Ward (natural area 105.8 km2, population size 77.025 people) is the center of the eastern region of Dong Nai province, with National Highway 20 running through the area with a length of about 10 km, located on the important tourist route Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat (Lam Dong), with a large agricultural production land area suitable for building and developing livestock farms, aquaculture and growing high-value fruit trees.
Loc Ninh ward (natural area 67.51 km2, population 31,484 people) has National Highway 13 passing through. According to the development plan of Dong Nai province, Loc Ninh area is identified as a new urban area, playing a role in promoting socio-economic development of the area, associated with industrial, service and synchronous infrastructure development.

Nhon Trach Ward (natural area 108.24 km2, population size 156,798 people) is located at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, with a natural boundary of the Dong Nai River, and is also a direct connecting point with Long Thanh International Airport. With a modern transport infrastructure system including the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, Ring Road 3, Ton Duc Thang road (25B) and Nguyen Ai Quoc road (25C).

Xuan Loc ward (area 140.5 km2, population 101. 485 people) has Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, National Highway 1, North - South railway passing through; the ward is being invested in and upgraded associated with urban and tourism development projects, especially the Chua Chan mountain and Nui Le lake area.
Tan Khai Ward (natural area 161.79 km2, population size 39,147 people) is located as the northwest gateway of Dong Nai province. In the area, there are industrial parks with a total area of over 800 hectares such as: Minh Hung - Sikico, Tan Khai II...

Dau Giay ward (natural area 98.87 km2, population size 70,264 people) has National Highway 20, National Highway 1 passing through, adjacent to key urban areas of the province such as Bien Hoa, Long Khanh; the ward has Dau Giay industrial park.
Dong Phu Ward (area 138.66 km2, population 39. 213 people) borders Ho Chi Minh City and is the gateway to the Central Highlands provinces along the main road DT-741; has many beautiful landscapes such as Ba Mu Lake (Ba Cop), Suoi Giai Lake.
After establishing wards, Dong Nai has 95 commune-level administrative units including 33 wards and 62 communes.
