From the evening of January 21, functional agencies proceeded to barricade Le Duc Tho street (section from the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace to Tran Huu Duc street) for a general rehearsal of the Special Art Program to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress.
The highlight is the high-altitude fireworks display combined with fireworks within the framework of the Program.
The fireworks display is divided into 4 phases, including 2 artwork fireworks phases (each phase 45 seconds); 2 artwork fireworks phases + 200 high-altitude fireworks (15 seconds and 2 minutes respectively).
Present at My Dinh Stadium area on the evening of January 21, many people were extremely excited about the large-scale fireworks display in the sky of the Capital.
From 7 pm, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh (Tu Liem ward) brought her 7-year-old son to the My Dinh yard area to watch fireworks early.
I really like it, constantly cheering when fireworks shoot high and bloom brightly. The performance is very beautiful, much more magnificent than previous fireworks displays" - Ms. Hanh said.
Although it is only a general rehearsal, according to Ms. Hanh, the atmosphere in the My Dinh area is still very lively, people comply well with standing and watching in the correct designated places. Her family plans to continue filming on the evening of January 23 to watch the fireworks display in the official program.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Minh Quan and Ms. Le Thu Trang (both 24 years old, living in Cau Giay ward) said they invited each other to My Dinh right after working hours.
We were quite surprised because the general rehearsal but fireworks were elaborately invested, fired continuously with many beautiful effects. This is truly one of the largest-scale fireworks displays in Hanoi ever," Mr. Quan said.
Both said they will arrange time to continue watching the official program on the evening of January 23, considering this a special occasion to feel the joyful and excited atmosphere of welcoming the success of the 14th Party Congress.
The special art program "New Vision - New Era" to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam will take place at 8:00 PM on January 23, at My Dinh National Stadium.
The program is organized to widely propagate and create an atmosphere of excitement in the entire Party, people and army about the meaning, stature and major orientations of the 14th National Party Congress - the important political event of the country, opening a new stage of development.
This is also an activity to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), affirming the leadership and ruling role of the Party, consolidating the trust of cadres, party members and people; encouraging and motivating the entire Party, people, and army to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, confidence, self-reliance, and self-strengthening; creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere, determined to bring the Resolution of the 14th Congress into life.
The highlight of the program is a fireworks display lasting about 15 minutes. The total number of fireworks used includes 4,600 high-altitude fireworks, 950 flower sprayers of all kinds and 4,400 fireworks tubes.
Fireworks are installed on the roof and on both sides of stand B; high-altitude fireworks are arranged in the area from halfway Le Duc Tho street through the clock to the vacant lot in front of the Aquatic Sports Palace, Tu Liem ward.
This is considered one of the largest-scale programs ever in the fireworks displays in Hanoi.
