This morning (November 25), the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper in coordination with the General Department of Market Management, the General Department of Customs, the Vietnam Association for Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection, the Department of Intellectual Property, VNet Joint Stock Company and related agencies and units officially launched the Contest "Fighting against counterfeit goods and online fraud" and the Award Program "Scratch anti-counterfeit stamps - Get lucky immediately".
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Phan Xuan Thuy said that the contest contributed to creating a strong change in awareness so that all levels, sectors, people and businesses voluntarily and well comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws in the fight against counterfeit goods and consumer protection;
Improve the effectiveness of consumer protection in e-commerce activities, create consumer confidence in online transactions and purchases; contribute to promoting sustainable e-commerce development in Vietnam.
The contest also aims to raise awareness, responsibility and basic skills to ensure information security in cyberspace through mass media and social media; disseminate knowledge and skills to identify and prevent online fraud to people to minimize the risk of being scammed in cyberspace.
Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy said that the contest content includes: Party policies, State policies and laws on anti-counterfeiting and consumer protection; how to distinguish genuine and fake goods; things to know to become a smart consumer.
Party guidelines, State policies and laws on information security; awareness, responsibility and basic skills to ensure information security in cyberspace; skills to identify and prevent online fraud.
Also at the ceremony, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper Pham Duc Thai announced the contest rules. Accordingly, the contest is organized in the form of an online test at the address chonghanggia.dangcongsan.vn.
Contestants can participate in the contest on the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper (dangcongsan.vn), VCNet social network (vcnet.vn) and electronic newspapers/magazines, websites/electronic portals of agencies, units, and localities that link to the contest.
The total prize value of the "Anti-counterfeiting and online fraud" contest is 240 million VND. Each week of the contest has the following prizes: 1 First prize worth 3,000,000 VND; 2 Second prizes: Each prize worth 2,000,000 VND; 3 Third prizes: Each prize worth 1,000,000 VND.
The total prize value of the "Scratch anti-counterfeit stamps - Get lucky" award program is 600 million VND.
