On the afternoon of March 24, leaders of Quang Phu Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, killing 2 girls. The victims are P.T. T. V (14 years old) and T.P. L (12 years old), both residing in Phu Hoa village, Quang Phu commune.
According to initial information, at about 2 pm on March 23, the family did not see the children at home. Thinking that the children were herding cows and forgot the way back, relatives organized a search in the areas where they usually graze.
At about 6 pm on the same day, in the lake area of Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant (belonging to Phu Hoa village, Quang Phu commune), the family discovered an electric bicycle and some belongings of the children left on the shore.
Suspecting something unusual, people continued to search and discovered that the two children had drowned and died in the lake.
Upon receiving the news, Quang Phu Commune Police were present at the scene, coordinating to investigate and clarify the cause. Local authorities also visited and supported the families of the victims.
