On February 13, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Hung - Deputy Head of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 (under the Traffic Police Department) said that in the days leading up to the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the traffic volume on expressways through the Central region increased sharply due to the people's need to return to their hometowns, visit relatives and enjoy spring.
On the Nghi Son - Dien Chau - Bai Vot - Vung Ang - Bung - Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway, there are many cases of speeding at a very high level. In fact, traffic accidents have occurred on this route.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Hung, at the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway section, the maximum speed is regulated at 90 km/h, but some vehicles are recorded running up to 145 km/h, posing a serious safety risk.

Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 has deployed forces that are both public and disguised regularly to measure the speed of vehicles circulating on the entire route from Nghi Son to Cam Lo both day and night. Handling is strictly implemented according to regulations to deter and prevent violations.
During the 2026 Lunar New Year, the traffic volume increased due to the need to travel and return to their hometowns for Tet holidays. The Traffic Police force recommends that vehicle drivers comply with regulations on speed, maintain a safe distance, and not be subjective when traveling on the highway.
