The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on June 17. While walking for exercise on the road adjacent to Nam An Khanh urban area (An Khanh commune, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi), people discovered a young man hanging on a tree branch along Hoang Tung street. Immediately afterwards, the incident was reported to the authorities.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, one of the first people to approach the scene, said that at first people thought the victim was repairing electricity or doing something. However, when we looked closer, we began to suspect and were shocked to discover that it was a hanging case. Coming closer, we realized that the young man was no longer alive, his body was floating on the branches. The scene made anyone who witnessed it silent, Ms. Thanh recounted.
Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities of An Khanh commune quickly arrived at the scene to block off the road, examine and investigate the cause of the incident.
Talking to reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of An Khanh commune confirmed that the victim was born in 1995, from Thai Nguyen. The body was transferred to the morgue of Ha Dong Hospital to wait for relatives to come and receive it.
The case is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
