On August 19, the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police (Department PC01 - Team 3, Nha Be Area Group) said that it was handling the case of "Death of unknown cause" after discovering a male body floating on the river, drifting onto the 2B wharf at Nha Be Petroleum General Depot (No. 51 Dang Nhu Lam, Hamlet 10, Nha Be Commune, Ho Chi Minh City).
Previously, at around 1:30 p.m. on August 18, Mr. Ninh Van Tam (born in 2002, from Hung Yen) - a security guard on duty at the 2B wharf - discovered a male body floating on the river in a position of bowing his face into the water, and reported it to the Nha Be Commune Police.
Upon receiving the report, the authorities quickly coordinated with professional units to conduct a crime scene investigation and bring the body to shore to serve the investigation and pathology to determine the cause of death.
Identification characteristics of the victim: Male about 30 - 40 years old, 1m72 tall, average figure; short, black, straight hair; upper and lower jaw teeth are intact. At the time of discovery, the victim was wearing a blue jeans jacket, a black long-sleeved T-shirt, black jeans, black shorts, black sneakers and a black chain of nuts on his left hand.
