On November 17, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My said that due to prolonged heavy rain in the management area, many cracks appeared on the mountainsides, posing a serious risk of landslides.
During the field inspection, the authorities discovered many cracks in Ngang mountain, in Son Cam Ha commune. According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quoc Anh - Deputy Commander of the Provincial 3 - Tra My Defense Command, the area has from 5 to 7 cracks. Each spot is 70 to 100 m long, with some spots up to 2 m wide. This is a sign that the possibility of landslides is very high.
In the face of the emergency situation, the units coordinated with the Commune Military Command and related forces to organize the evacuation of 59 households with 224 people. People in village 5 (Son Cam Ha commune), village 1, village 2 (Thanh Binh commune) and Tra Huynh (Phuoc Tra commune)

The authorities also used a flycam to check the surrounding area, in order to detect early signs of abnormality and promptly report to the City Military Command. Monitoring work continues to be deployed continuously to ensure safety.
At the same time, on National Highway 14E, section Km 59+300 through Tra Huynh village (Phuoc Tra commune), a serious landslide occurred, causing traffic disruption for many hours. Units are making efforts to repair and clear roads to ensure traffic.
No human or property damage has been recorded. The authorities advised people not to enter dangerous areas and closely monitor announcements from local authorities.
