On March 21, people living around the area discovered Mr. L.C.T (65 years old) and his wife, Ms. H.T.N (64 years old, both residing in Long Phuoc Hamlet, Long My Commune, Mang Thit District, Vinh Long Province) lying unconscious in a rented room along National Highway 53, in Hamlet 5, Long Ho Town (Long Ho District, Vinh Long Province) so they reported it to the police.
Upon receiving the report, Long Ho Town Police quickly arrived to protect the scene, and at the same time coordinated with professional units of Vinh Long Provincial Police to conduct a scene inspection.
Through the scene inspection, the authorities did not detect any signs of crime, and the property in the rented room was still normal. In particular, there was a bottle of herbal medicine on the floor.
Through investigation, the family representative said that Mr. T and Mrs. N had rented a room for nearly 2 years to store clothes for sale. However, recently both of them discovered that they had serious illnesses, so they had many intentions to commit suicide.
Currently, the representative of Mr. T and Ms. N's family has written a petition not to conduct an autopsy.
