According to Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Duong - Council for Democracy - Law (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front), in theory, promoting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations in building the great national unity bloc is based on the theoretical viewpoints of Marxism-Leninism: The masses are the decisive force for the success or failure of the revolution. The masses only become material strength when they are enlightened and organized. The unified Front and socio-political organizations are the widest and most sustainable (formal) way of gathering under the leadership and direction of the Political Party.
Socio-political organizations and mass organizations are a widespread organizational system, gathering all classes of people, all classes, all ethnic groups, all religions and all Vietnamese people abroad. This is a decisive factor for the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations to play the role of nucleus and core in gathering and promoting the strength of great national unity," Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Duong, Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized.
In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations are bridges between the Party - State - people, both mobilizing people to comply with the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and laws; and reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the people to the Party and State.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations are also organizations representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people. Thanks to that, contributing to political stability, socio-economic development, strengthening consensus and social solidarity.
Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Duong analyzed that, with the function of supervision and social criticism stipulated by the 2013 Constitution and the 2015 Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations become subjects in the mechanism of people controlling state power (social supervision is post-control, while social criticism is preemptive control when institutions, policies, and laws are still being built). Through the implementation of the function of supervision and social criticism, not only the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations contribute to building a State that is truly a State of the people, by the people and for the people, but also create social consensus and solidarity.
Close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people, being close to the people
Meanwhile, Dr. Ta Van Sy - former Director of the Center for Training and Scientific Research of the Fatherland Front emphasized that the great national unity bloc is always the most important endogenetic source of strength to ensure all victories of the Vietnamese Revolution. Through the process of building and growing, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, mass associations have promoted their core role in gathering people from all walks of life, creating social consensus, consolidating people's trust in the Party and the State, making important contributions to the cause of renovation, development and protection of the Fatherland.
Faced with new requirements in the 2026–2030 period, Dr. Ta Van Sy believes that the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations continues to be a decisive factor in the sustainability of the great national unity bloc. Dr. Ta Van Sy proposed that, in the new context, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels need to comprehensively innovate the methods of mobilizing and gathering people in the direction of digitalization - professionalism - modernity, closely combining direct activities and digital platforms; proactively expanding the scope of access to new social groups, young intellectuals, startups, technology entrepreneurs, and digital creative communities.
In parallel with that, strengthen training and fostering cadres according to job positions, focusing on fostering digital capacity, communication capacity, policy analysis, social supervision, policy criticism, dialogue skills and handling of social situations. Forming a team of professional Front cadres with new thinking, new skills and high ability to interact with the people.
In addition, it is necessary to actively implement the "Digital Front" model with a unified social database system; a platform for collecting reflections and recommendations from the people; digital maps to monitor community investment and data analysis tools to forecast trends, detect social problems promptly, and support leaders in making accurate policies.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Trinh - former Vice Chairman - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also mentioned the importance of digital transformation. According to him, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels need to urgently invest all resources and immediately implement solutions to implement digital transformation, the "Digital Front" of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and current political and social organizations.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Trinh proposed to build and immediately implement a roadmap and plan to implement digital transformation, "Digital Front" based on the initial conditions that the practical part has pointed out, in which it is necessary to carry out 2 basic tasks in parallel: investing resources in facilities, equipment and training and fostering professional capacity to do digital transformation work, "Digital Front" for full-time and part-time front officials.
Only in this way can the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political organizations not be left behind in their strategic tasks to develop the country; and at the same time have enough capacity to gather and promote the strength of national unity in the new situation and new requirements," according to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Trinh.
Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council - former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front believes that in the coming time, it is necessary to innovate the operating methods of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in a practical and effective direction, strongly focusing on grassroots levels and residential areas to be close to the people, understand the people, learn from the people, be close to the people, be responsible to the people, propagate and mobilize people to implement the motto: "using the people's strength to build a prosperous and happy life for the people".
In addition, it is necessary to mobilize people to participate in patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns in a practical and effective manner; improve the quality of supervision and social criticism, contributing to building and perfecting policies and laws. At the same time, promote the people's right to mastery, protect the legitimate and lawful rights of the people, so that "People trust the Party" actively participate in building a clean and strong Party and State.
