According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Phu Tho province, from 7:00 p.m. on September 28 to 7:00 a.m. on September 30, due to the impact of storm No. 10, Phu Tho province had heavy to very heavy rain.
Rainfall measured at some stations: Ho Can Thuong (Cao Phong commune) 477.4 mm; Tan Pheo (Tan Pheo commune) 462 mm; Lung Van (Van Son commune) 433.8 mm. Water levels on rivers rose rapidly, many sections reached alert levels I, II and III.
As of 2:00 p.m. on September 30, there were no human casualties in Phu Tho province due to natural disasters, but storms and floods damaged 379 houses, caused roofs blown off, flooded or landslides; nearly 800 households with more than 3,400 people had to be evacuated.
Nearly 1,997.5 hectares of rice, crops and other crops were damaged; more than 323 hectares of seafood were flooded.
Infrastructure was also severely affected: 35 electric poles fell, 300 m of low-voltage wires broke; 65 ditches collapsed, 3 dams and 95 traffic points were eroded with a volume of about 10,130 m3; many points were flooded, affecting traffic.

Many places were deeply flooded, traffic was cut off. National Highway 70B through Phu Khe commune was flooded, making it difficult for cars and motorbikes to travel. On Provincial Road 433, passing through Da Bac - Cao Son - Tan Pheo - Quy Duc communes, many culverts were submerged in water, and inter-commune and inter-hamlet roads were buried by mud.
In Cao Son commune, flash floods and landslides have isolated many areas. In Tien Luong commune alone, a lagoon broke, 68 households with 152 people were completely isolated.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the next 6 hours, Phu Tho province will continue to have rain, with common rainfall of 40 - 60 mm, locally over 150 mm.
The risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams in mountainous areas, landslides on steep slopes and subsidence in many communes and wards is still very high. The warning of natural disasters due to floods, landslides, and subsidence is given at level 2.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Phu Tho province requested localities to mobilize forces to support people in overcoming damage, urgently evacuating households in dangerous areas, checking the safety of dams, ensuring 24/7 on-duty to proactively respond to arising situations.
