The Ministry of Construction has cooperated with Khanh Hoa province and Project Management Board 7 to organize the inauguration ceremony to put into operation 70.35 km of the component project of Van Phong - Nha Trang section, under the construction project of the North - South Expressway works in the East period 2021 - 2025 in the form of online connection with the bridge points where the project passes through.
The project has a total length of 83.35km, starting point (Km285+000) connecting the southern gateway of Co Ma tunnel, in Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province.
The end point (at about Km368+3500) connects the starting point of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam construction investment component project under the North - South Expressway Construction Project in the East phase 2017-2020, located in Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province.
The completed and put into operation section is about 70/83km long (from Km298+000 - Km368+350).
Including 3 interconnecting intersections including Van Gia intersection at Km299+812 (connecting with National Highway 1), National Highway 26 intersection at Km332+100 (connecting with National Highway26) and National Highway 27C intersection at Km368+350 (connecting with National Highway 27C).
According to the Ministry of Construction, the plan to organize traffic on expressways only serves cars.
Subjects who are not allowed to participate in traffic on high-speed cars, including pedestrians, rudimentary vehicles, motorbikes, motorbikes and tractors; specialized motorbikes with a design speed of less than 90 km/h are not allowed to enter the highway; vehicles carrying toxic, flammable substances, and explosives on the list of dangerous goods are only allowed to travel on highways when licensed by competent authorities.
Vehicles that are fully qualified to travel on the road are allowed to travel on the expressway and are allowed to travel on the expressway at a maximum speed of 90km/h and a minimum speed of 60km/h.
The rest stop at Km334+900 was arranged by the investor on both sides of the highway. For this rest stop, the Ministry of Construction has selected an investor for this rest stop.
The North-South expressway construction project in the East phase 2021 - 2025 has a total length of about 729 km, divided into 12 component projects.
Including the sections of Ha Tinh - Quang Tri (267 km), Quang Ngai - Nha Trang (353 km) and Can Tho - Ca Mau (109 km); the investment scale for 4-lane traffic phases, the preliminary total investment is 146,990 billion VND, passing through 12 provinces and cities with the project schedule basically completed in 2025 and put into operation from 2026. The investment capital is implemented according to the State Budget.
