On the morning of July 31, the People's Committee of Hai Chau Ward organized points to pay subsidies to subjects receiving social protection benefits until receiving payments for July and August 2025.
Previously, from July 23 to 25, the People's Committee of Hai Chau Ward organized payments to 2,800 subjects who are war invalids and sick soldiers, ensuring completion before the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27.
Up to now, the ward continues to organize payments to about 5,400 social protection beneficiaries in the area, including the elderly, people with disabilities, people with serious illnesses, etc.
Recorded at Phuoc Ninh Dredge - the payment point for people in Hai Chau ward (old), Phuoc Ninh ward (old), Thach Thang ward (old), the atmosphere was orderly. Many elderly people came early to receive the allowance.
Ms. Cao Thi Huong - a resident of Hai Chau 1 ward (old) emotionally said: "I am very happy to receive support money for both July and August. The family has a daughter, the child is already married so it is difficult. Every month, I look forward to the elderly allowance to be able to spend.
Sharing about the implementation process, Mr. Nguyen Van Duy - Chairman of Hai Chau Ward People's Committee said: "After switching to the two-level government model from July 1, because it was a newly established organization, there were many difficulties in the initial stage, especially in opening an account at the treasury and having a source of money.
It will not be until July 21 that the ward can resolve procedures related to money sources. The first thing the ward will do immediately afterwards is to plan the payment to war invalids and sick soldiers before July 27. And then there is payment to social protection beneficiaries. Previously, it was possible to pay by post, but there are currently no specific instructions, so the ward must be the direct payment organization, said Mr. Duy.
According to Mr. Duy, to ensure security and order as well as help people come to receive money conveniently during the payment process, the ward has arranged forces to guide and maintain order.
This is one of the activities that Hai Chau ward has proactively implemented to ensure the rights of people, especially those in vulnerable groups in society.
