On July 14, the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang Ward (HCMC) said that it had worked with land users in the area where the illegal concrete pile construction on the Ba Coi River - a branch of the Dinh River was discovered.
Through verification, the authorities invited Mr. N.V.H and Ms. N.T.H (users of the land area within the forest and forestry land area managed by the state) to work; thereby determining that the two people have the right and obligation to use the land in accordance with the provisions of law.
However, during the use, Mr. N.V.H built 15 concrete piles on the land without permission from the competent authority. Therefore, the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang Ward requested to stop the above behavior and restore the original state before July 20. Mr. N.V.H can contact the local government or competent authority for instructions on procedures if needed.
Previously, people reported that some concrete piles 3-5m high, with a diameter of more than 20cm, were built in the middle of the Ba Coi River; there are many households that live by aquaculture (arrowroot, shrimp, etc.). Therefore, the local government has conducted an inspection and verification to resolve the issue according to regulations.
