On June 11, according to information from the Tax Department of Region XI, in Quang Binh, the total domestic budget revenue in the first 5 months of 2025 was VND 2,584.8 billion, reaching 51.1% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government and 47.1% of the estimate assigned by the province, an increase of 39.8% over the same period last year.
This positive result was achieved in the context of the local economy still facing many difficulties, small scale, and low productivity and efficiency. The restructuring of the organizational apparatus according to Resolution 18-NQ/TW also affects production and business activities. However, thanks to the close direction of all levels and the efforts of the Tax sector, the budget collection work has achieved positive results.
The provincial Tax Department has proactively coordinated with departments and branches to review bottlenecks in production and business to support businesses and people to expand operations and create sustainable revenue sources. At the same time, the policy of tax exemption, reduction, extension and refund is also implemented promptly and in accordance with regulations, removing difficulties for taxpayers.
Tax management is also strengthened: inspection, prevention of loss, recovery of outstanding debts; risk management, especially risks of electronic invoices; tax management of enterprises operating in the fields of natural resources and minerals; e-commerce business, digital platform business; especially the inventory of households and individuals doing business to include in tax management. In addition, the modernization of the industry and application of information technology such as tax declaration, electronic tax payment and Etax Mobile have contributed to reducing administrative procedures.
Quang Binh province identified the task of collecting the budget for the remaining 7 months as very heavy, requiring continued synchronous implementation of solutions. In particular, focusing on exploiting potential revenue sources and managing closely the situation of business households and out-of-province businesses exploiting natural resources and minerals.
Along with that, it is necessary to maintain administrative reform, strengthen supervision of new taxpayers, businesses that have stopped operations, dissolved, and ensure support policies to the right subjects. The Tax sector aims to strive to exceed the 2025 budget revenue estimate by 15% according to the Government's direction.
