On January 20, leaders of the Quang Ngai Provincial Market Management Sub-Department said that Market Management Team No. 1 had just organized a surprise inspection and handled a number of frozen food business establishments in the area.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered and handled 3 violations related to the act of trading in food of unknown origin, with a total fine of 64.5 million VND, and at the same time forced the destruction of 309 kg of frozen food.
The amount of food destroyed included 144 kg of chicken feet, 120 kg of chicken udders and 45 kg of frozen squid.
In the coming time, Market Management Team No. 1 will continue to strengthen inspection and control according to the peak plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, in order to promptly detect and strictly handle violating organizations and individuals.
