On August 28, the Military Command of Quang Ngai province organized a send-off ceremony, assigning tasks to Team K53 to set off to perform the task of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains in Laos and Cambodia in the dry season of 2026-2027.
At the ceremony, Ms. Y Ngoc acknowledged and praised the efforts, sense of responsibility and will to overcome difficulties of officers and soldiers of Team K53 in performing the task of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains through the dry seasons.
At the same time, requesting the Party Committee, commanders and officers and soldiers of Team K53 to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, determination to overcome difficulties and hardships, and excellently complete the assigned tasks.
Preparing to implement the 2026-2027 dry season task, the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command has done a good job of consolidating the organization, staff, troop size and ensuring all aspects of work.
Along with that, foreign language training is also focused on. Most officers and staff of Team K53 are communicative in Lao and Cambodian.
Notably, to proactively deploy the search work right from the beginning of the dry season, Team K53 surveyed and grasped 67 sources of information; including 20 sources related to martyrs' graves, areas that may still have martyrs' remains.
The team has organized verification and verification of all 20 sources of information; through evaluation, there are 13 sources of information with high reliability, enough basis to be included in the search plan. According to the plan, these 13 areas include 8 areas in Laos and 5 areas in Cambodia.
This is an important basis for Team K53 to determine the area, develop plans, prepare forces, vehicles and organize the deployment of tasks right from the beginning of the 2026-2027 dry season.
Up to now, 100% of officers, employees, and soldiers of Team K53 have firm political bravery, peace of mind, well-defined tasks, and guaranteed health, ready to set off to perform tasks.
